I must of jinxed myself when I posted the last blog because shortly after, we headed off to the doctors office to only find out Laine was a level 22 for his jaundice. We were then admitted to the NICU at Madison Memorial Hospital. It was a hard few days for our family as Laine had to lay in a plastic bed with lights on him and we were not supposed to touch him unless to feed or change his diaper. Luckily the doctor let us go home for Thanksgiving with a promise we'd keep him on that billi-blanket and never take it off. This lasted for another week, but then they diagnosed Laine and I with breast milk jaundice... meaning he was getting jaundice from my breast milk. We then fed him with just formula for the next four days... so much for nipple confusion and such :)
